We all know how gratifying it is to bring joy to those less fortunate than us, especially the little ones.
At GoMaya Belize Adventures we are taking our first steps towards Responsible Tourism. We invite you to participate in this positive program by sharing in the joy of giving and leaving a positive imprint on your travel destination.
How it works:
At every quarter of the year (we’re only just starting now in April, 2017) we will be allotting a percentage of our revenues during that time span towards our Responsible Tourism Program. This is either in the way of distributing food hampers, school supplies, books for libraries, used clothes and footwear, toys such as ball to encourage extracurricular activities in schools and homes, or just about anything that goes towards improving their lives. We plan to do this in collaboration with charitable organization such as Rotary & Rotaract, among others, to help us make a difference in these remote and needy communities.

At distribution time, we will be creating a blog with videos showing you where and
how your contributions were put to use. By subscribing to our newsletter, you will be able to share that joy with us as well.
We will also continue to find better ways to assist our communities by devising a more specific plan with a more direct purpose. For example, we plan to work closely with an organization who manufactures wheel chairs for the disabled. These are then distributed to the hospitals, or geriatric centers where the need for wheel chairs is prevalent, yet supplies are lacking.
Pack some joy:
Through our pack some joy program, we’re inviting you to bring any amount of used clothes, used footwear, usable school supplies, books, or just about anything that you believe would bring joy and improve the lives of those most in need.
