Starts: 8:00AM          Ends: 1:00PM

Getting There: This half day adventure begins with a pick up at 8:00AM at your hotel or in San Ignacio. We then head out on a 20 minutes’ drive to a remote jungle location where our guide will brief us on the local flora and fauna at hand.

At the lodge: Upon arrival at the lodge, we’ll be walking up to their on-site museum of natural history for an insightful start to our tour. After the museum we’ll be walking over to their butterfly farm for an exciting look at the butterfly life cycle – perfect opportunity for some great pictures.

After the butterfly farm, we’ll be heading down a trail towards the river bank where our canoes will be awaiting us. There, our guide will brief us on safety procedures as we careful board our craft for our downstream adventure. The canoe ride itself offers a close look at the various local flora and fauna as your guide points them out and elaborates on them. Enjoy the peaceful ride until reaching San Ignacio town around 1:00PM where your pick up transportation awaits you.

Departure: At the San Ignacio pick up point, we’ll be onboarding our canoe as we prepare to head back to our hotel.
